Order of Adjectives
When you give more than one adjective in front of a noun, you need to put them in a specific order. This order is:
Opinion/size/age/shape/colour/origin/material/’used for’ or ‘be about’

1. exclaim 驚叫 |
say something loudly in surprise |
‘Wow! What an amazing sunset!’ she exclaimed. |
2. grumble 表示不滿 |
complain in an impolite way |
It can be annoying when people grumble all the time. |
3. mumble 含糊地說 |
speak in a soft and unclear way |
‘Please don’t mumble – it makes it difficult to hear you.’ |
4. plead 請求 |
request earnestly; beg |
She pleaded with him not to leave her, but he had made up his mind. |
5. stammer 結結巴巴地說 話 |
speak with pauses out of fear |
He had a terrible stammer when he had to speak in whole school assemblies. |
6. drawl 拖長聲調說話 |
speak slowly and lazily |
Clare spoke with a Southern drawl. |
7. croak 用低沈沙啞的 聲音說出 |
make a deep, hoarse sound because of a sore throat |
Her voice croaked as she responded to the doctor’s questions. |
8. sputter 氣急敗壞地說 話 |
speak very fast out of anger or disbelief |
John was so furious that he couldn’t help but sputter as he spoke. |
9. glance 瞥了一眼 |
look very quickly |
She glanced at him before leaving the room. |
10. glimpse 一看 |
look very quickly |

Use Conditional 0 to talk about general rules: statements that are always true, where the result will definitely happen.
Use Conditional 1 to talk about things that are likely to happen in a specific situation. They might not have happened yet, but you are talking about the likely result if or when they do.
