Gerund, Bare Infinitive and To-Infinitive

Gerunds (動名詞) are the ‘-ing’ form of a verb, when it is used as a noun.
– I enjoy talking to my parents.
– Studying can be fun.

The ‘to’ infinitive is the basic form of the verb, with the word ‘to’.
– I decided to finish my homework.
– She would like to visit us.

The bare infinitive (不變動詞) is the basic form of the verb, without the word ‘to’.
– We should say sorry.
– My mum makes me clean my room.
